Accessibility

The Long Beach Unified School District's (LBUSD) website is required to be in compliance with Section 504 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Section 504 and ADA require equal access and communication of electronic information and data so that it is accessible to people with disabilities.

LBUSD is committed to ensuring that its digital content is accessible to all users and is actively working to bring its websites and online documents into compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as well as the WAI-ARIA 1.0 Guidelines to meet the requirements to make navigational objects accessible.

To support this effort, the District utilizes the Finalsite web platform with AudioEye to enhance website accessibility and employs DocAccess to provide accessible, full-text versions of PDF documents across all District and school websites. These ongoing initiatives reflect LBUSD's commitment to providing equitable access to information and services for all members of our community.
